Description
- A true “connect and forget” power charger & maintainer for your car, pick-up truck, a hybrid vehicle or electrical car with ECO-friendly Start/Stop Control.
- Ideal for all 12V engine start (SLI) batteries, including standard, flooded with filler caps and sealed EFB and AGM types.
- Charging is fully automatic. The automatic 6-step program saves a deep discharged battery from as low as 4 Volts and will then charge and maintain the battery, all automatically with long-term maintenance mode that keeps the battery at its optimal level 24-7.
- Tests battery state of health and warns if the battery loses charge. Due to poor health of battery/age. Or a high drain in the vehicle indicating other issues.

Can I charge the battery of my (plug-in) hybrid car with the OptiMate 5?
A (plug-in) hybrid car always has a 12v starter battery, in order to start the engine when necessary. This 12v battery will not be charged when connecting to a charging pole. The OptiMate 5 is an excellent choice to charge and maintain the battery of your (plug-in) hybrid car battery.

For batteries from 12Ah to 160 Ah for 24-7 battery maintenance. Can recharge batteries up to 96Ah within 24hours.
How fast does OptiMate 5 recharge batteries?
The time required for the OptiMate 5 to complete a charge on a flat but otherwise undamaged battery is roughly 1/4 of the battery’s Ah rating, so a 40Ah battery should take no more than about 10 hours to progress to Step 5. Deep-discharged batteries may take significantly longer.
